Safe in Las Vegas

We are now waiting in the Las Vegas Airport after safely landing!

On the flight I was terrified as usual...I freak out a little while the plane taxi's, and when it takes off, and if there is any turbulence...I usually calm down once the plane has flattened out and we are cruising. It is funny because I feel more safe in my dad's 4 seater plane (a beachcraft) with him flying it, than I do in a HUGE plane!! I think I feel safer because it is my dad flying the plane and because I wear a headset and hear all of what is going on like when he calls to the towers, etc. Well, I may have been a lily liver while on the flight...but we landed safely and now we are just waiting to board our second flight that takes us into Washington D.C!!!

The next flight is 4 and 1/2 hours long and we will get into DC at 7:00am (Eastern Time) and 4:00am (Pacific Standard Time)...so we expect some serious jet lag!! But it will not slow us down...we are getting off the plane, going to hertz to pick up our rental car and heading out to check out D.C!

Oh yea...I must say...there is no other view like that of flying above the cities! It is so incredibly beautiful! Aaron said it reminded him of the Peter Pan ride at Disneyland when you are flying over the city in the pirate ship...and it totally does!!

P.S~ Poor Aaron is not feeling 100%. He has a sore throat and a slight cough, so we are hoping it clears soon so that he can feel 150%! Send him some get well soon dust, thoughts and prayers...and let us hope that I do not catch it from him!
