Omaha, Nebraska

After a 7.5 hour drive, we were back in the "city" where Aaron and I met! The first place Aaron and I went to was Creighton University....the school where where it all started.

First, we went to the baseball and softball fields...where we spent many hours and days. And actually the Creighton Jay were playing!! The baseball team was playing their last regular season game....so we sat and watched them play a little. (The softball team was playing in Iowa for the NCAA tournament...they lost in extra innings 1-2)
Creighton's Famous church and fountain
This is EXACTLY where Aaron and I met....right where Aaron is sitting....he was sitting there 7 years ago wearing a Archbishop Mitty hat and a Sports Focus T-shirt...I thought it was too random to see someone wearing those in Nebraska so I went up to him and asked him if he was from California....and that is when it all started.
Inside the church...this is absolutely the most beautiful church I have ever seen...I actually thought about having our wedding out in Nebraska and having our wedding at this church but you have to be a Creighton graduate to get married at this church.
Isn't it gorgeous!

After visiting Creighton and reliving some amazing memories, we went back to the hotel to rest before getting dinner in the Old Market.....Once we got to the Old Market we decided to eat at a little Italian Restaurant....
Aaron's Meal....raviolis with peas, mushrooms, caramelized onions and yellow peppers...the picture is a little blurry because Aaron HATES when I take pictures of our food...he thinks I am crazy!...LoL!...But I must blog about everything!
My Meal....Manicotti topped with both Marinara and Alfredo
After dinner I took Aaron over to Omaha's version of Coldstones in the Old Market...he had never been there...this was one of the places that the coach took me when he was recruiting me to play for Creighton....SUPER yummy!...I think Coldstones is better...but really...everything is better in California!

Walking the old market was pretty fun...my mind was flooded with old memories...recruiting trip, bar hopping, and just having fun.
