After arriving in Cody, we get settled into our hotel and Aaron notices a huge bruise on the back of my leg...I look and I can't believe it! I didn't even know it was there...I touched it and it wasn't tender...but it was REALLY purple and a little swollen...and my skin was slightly splotchy. So I called the Kaiser advice nurse and she suggested I go into the ER because it could be a blood clot (especially because of all the driving). Aaron and I both thought it was better to be safe than sorry so we went to the local hospital ER and checked in...fortunately, they took my Kaiser insurance...so the visit was covered...and thank goodness it was because the bruise was nothing...I just broke a blood vessel...so it is just a bruise. I felt so silly for being in the ER for a bruise, but the advice nurse didn't make me feel to good about it and when we checked into the ER the nurse at the check-in station didn't make me feel to good about it either...first thing out of her mouth was blood clot too!...but thankfully it was nothing..just a bruise....probably from all the sitting in the car.
Here is a picture of the bruise...it doesn't really show it well...it was a VERY dark purple and quite a bit bigger than the picture shows..

Anyhow...so now that we know I am alright, we are just going to rest up for the night and get ready to hit Yellowstone National Park tomorrow and then drive to Salt Lake City, Utah....I am actually really excited to see Old Faithful!! I am hoping to get some really great video of it!
