On a more serious note...the graduation was awesome!! The president of the school was a great speaker and he was hilarious!...we also met the Dean of our department and she was very cool too!...oh, and she pronounced our name correctly when announcing us as graduates of the sport management program!
There was a very sad part during the graduation....the Dean announced that the mother, father and sister of a student were here today to accept the diploma on their son's behalf who had died just 3 weeks earlier. It was very sad to hear that and watch the parents and sister walk across the stage and take the diploma. Everyone single person at the ceremony stood and clapped for quite a while...it was very touching and I am sure that they felt both sad and touched. I thought it was very neat for the University to do that for the family and in honor of the student.
Really, Graduation was great...I was afraid it would be long and boring but that was not the case...I am so glad that we went and were a part of the ceremony...I will never forget it.
