The first place we went to after jumping into our rental car was the Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia. I really don't know if I can put into words how that place made me felt; especially the tomb of the unknown soldier (I will actually make a post just for that event because of it's intensity)....It is crazy to see the rows upon rows upon rows of tombs of those individuals who fought for our country, for our families and for us as individuals. I have always had a great amount of respect for those individuals who protect and serve our country, but I now have an even greater respect after seeing the Arlington National Cemetery.
Here are some pictures the cemetery and us...

JFK's grave site and the eternal flame...

I had to take a picture of this tombstone...for those of you who don't know, this is my grandparents last name....I don't hear or see it often and this tombstone was on the larger scale and I just couldn't believe when I saw the name on it...of relation maybe?
