My husband has shingles.
OK, so really, it isn’t very funny. He has shingles, which is an illness that is usually suffered in older people….I guess 25 is the new 50?? hahaha…JK! No actually, the reason he probably got shingles is because of stress; Stress weakens the immune system which in turn caused him to form shingles (Damn that silly job!) He has a rash on his back and shooting pains that feel like an electric shock. Poor guy. The doctor gave him some Vicodin for the pain and a steroid cream for the itchiness. He really is in pain, the poor guy. He took half a day today, and is taking tomorrow off. I also took tomorrow off so that I can take care of him.
Hopefully it is just a mild case, because the pain that he feels can last as long as 1 year! So we are praying that he has a mild case and that it clears up soon and the pain ceases quickly!
