As soon as we walked into Disneyland, we got that *magical* feeling; we go so many times and yet this never goes away! You walk in, you see smiling faces, kids laughing, hear happy Disney music playing and you can't help but just feel amazing!
The lady scans us in and we thought we might be able to get on to Peter Pans Flight without waiting in a huge line since it was a little later on a Thursday night. And yup! We only had to wait like 10 minutes. I absolutely love Peter Pan's Flight and we don't go on it that often because the line is always a mile long (and of course there are no fast passes for this ride) because it's a kiddie and adult favorite! After we got off of Peter Pan's Flight, we decided we would head over to Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters. This is Aaron's absolute favorite ride and Aaron and I go on it at least 4 times in each visit. And I like it because you get a free picture from it---It takes your picture, and then you email it to yourself. And, well, I have an obsession with pictures! Here is one of the pictures from the Buzz ride...and I LOVE this one, because the photo didn't record Aaron's score, so it looks like I kicked his butt!!
Since the park closed at just 10:00 this day, we decided we would head on down to the Downtown Disney District and watch a movie at AMC. We decided to see Definitely, Maybe. It was a really cute movie...although a little longer than I would have thought. But we still enjoyed it.
When we came out of the movie theater, it was raining. So I grabbed our umbrella and we both squeezed under it and I have to say, it was SUPER romantic! We walked in the rain, snuggling under our umbrella with the Disney music playing in the Downtown District and it was just a great feeling! We don't get a ton of alone time because Aaron has a demanding job and so this was just extra special.
Once we got to the car, we decided to head on over to the hotel we alway stay at (and we never make reservations for) and they were booked!! So we go down the street to another hotel that we have been to before and guess what?? They were booked! Come to find out, the cheer leading Nationals were at the Convention center! So, we got in and out of the car probably 30 times to find a hotel and were not having great luck. We finally, after 2 hours found a hotel!! At least it was a nice one and not some dump we were forced to stay in because of all the booked hotels! Oh yea, and the stop lights were are enemies that night!! All we wanted to do was get in a room and rest and the stop lights wouldn't change! We ran 2 red lights because we just didn't want to sit and wait another 5 minutes for it to change (if it ever did!).
When we finally got in the room, we put down all our stuff and then decided we needed some food. I wonder what kind of delicious food we can find at 2am!?!?! Carl's Jr. That made Aaron happy, but I hate eating fast food! BLECH! But we really had no other choice. So after my stomach stopped rumbling and screaming at me for filling it with crap, we hit the hay!
