17 Married Months at Disneyland (2/23/08)

Today, 2/23/08, is me and Aaron's 17 month anniversary and what better place to spend it than at Disneyland. When I woke up, I arose to a text that said "Happy Anniversary! I love you squillions. Oh Boy!" (Imagine "oh boy" in a Mickey voice!).

As soon as we got into Disneyland, we headed straight over to city hall to get Anniversary pins! And they are such cute pins!! Here is a picture:

We decided to continue on our search for new adventures. We started looking for more Hidden Mickey's but we couldn't find any; however, we did find numerous classic Mickey's. After we failed in our search for hidden Mickey's we decided to try another attraction. That attraction was Autotopia. I had been on it many years ago, but never with Aaron. It was a pretty fun ride, and Aaron really enjoyed it; he was quite the driver! The next attraction was Aladdin and Jasmine's Story telling Adventure. I actually really LOVED this one!! It was so cute, funny and quite interactive for the children. Here are a couple of pictures of this awesome attraction and one of us enjoying it!

After watching the Adventure of Jasmine and Aladdin, we headed over to a store to buy an Indiana Jones pin for my lanyard (since it was the ride that we saw our first hidden Mickey!) And while we were there, the lady that rang us up, noticed our anniversary pins and she told us that she had a special phone call just for us. She took us over to the phone, were we heard Mickey and friends sing a happy anniversary song to us! It was so cute! =)

Aaron and I started to get a little tired and wanted to take a load off, so we headed back to the hotel to rest for a bit. We got there and watched some TV and some how we ended up in a big pillow fight! It was so fun! Although...you know, it is all fun and games until someone gets hurt.....

In the midst of one of Aaron's shots at me, instead of the pillow getting me, he accidentally got me with his hand. He felt so bad and took great care of me. But as you would guess, that was the end of our pillow fighting fun!

After some much needed rest, we headed back to Disneyland for a little more fun! We didn't have much time, because we had a reservation at Goofy's Kitchen so we wondered around a bit and enjoyed the parade (another first!) The parade was AMAZING!! I absolutely LOVED it and can't believe I never took the time to enjoy this before! Here is a picture slide show of the parade.

On the way to Goofy's Kitchen, I started feeling badly. I decided to try and enjoy dinner anyway but after I ate a small salad and few small potatoes, my stomach really started to hurt. I needed to get out of there. Aaron shoveled some food down as quickly as he could so we could leave. As soon as I got up from the table, I started feeling worse. I tried power walking to the car; I only made it like 50ft before I had to sit down. My stomach hurt so bad that I was crying and shaking. Aaron hates that because he feels so helpless and just wants to make it better. We got up and started to go again, and I went another 50ft and had to sit. This continued until we got on the tram that took us to the parking structure. Aaron rushed back to the hotel, where I then got sick. I rested for the rest of the evening, and felt better in the morning. I am not sure what was wrong, but I had the most horrible cramping feeling in my stomach that wouldn't go away and it sucked! It was probably all the crappy food we ate!

So the end of the trip was a bit of a bummer because of my illness but overall the trip was amazing! We can't wait to go back!! We plan to either return in April or May.
