Last night, Aaron and I came home to the cone pictured above on our front porch. We were the only ones in the neighborhood with a cone. We were both like, what the hell? Where did this come from? Oh crap, I hope our water heater didn't take a crap (A bunch of homes in our area have had their water heaters crap out and even leak pretty badly)! And back to what the hell?
So I pick up the cone, thinking maybe someone put a letter underneath or something? Nope. Nothing. Whatever...so we grab the cone and set it aside and go in the house. I just couldn't get past the idea of the cone being there. I told Aaron, I am going to go over to Libby's to see if she knows why it was there. He comes as well. I knock and Tony answered the door, and I ask Tony if he knows where the cone is from, and I hear Libby laughing and she says, come in Heather. So we go inside and she was laughing. She goes, [I was gonna text you and let you know that some tree trimming people came and they had cones on all the porches of the houses, and well, I guess they forgot to take the one of your guys porch, but I thought it would be funnier if I left it there leaving you wondering why the hell it was there.] Well, she was right, we were wondering why the hell it was there! But at least we now had our answer...and Libby got a great laugh out of it. And well, so did we. Now that the mystery is solved, we go back home.
Fast forward to this morning. Aaron and I get up to get ready to remodel our master bathroom, and we open the door to go outside and the damn cone is back on our front door step! Aaron says, how the hell did that end up here! I asked, "are you sure we moved it" and he is 100% sure he moved it off the step. So, yup, he grabs the cone and head over to Libby's house (thinking she put it there as a good prank) and just as he is about to leave the cone on her front step, to get her back, she opens the door and yells, "BOO!" It was HILARIOUS!! We all busted out in laughter and Aaron sadly walked the cone back over to our house.
So the cone is no longer a mystery, yet still remains near our front step. (Well that is until Aaron can be more sneaky!)
