2 years ago today, Aaron and I were married. It was definitely one of the best days of our lives...a day that neither of us will ever forget....it is so ingrained in my memory that it feels like it was just yesterday!...I can't believe it has already been two years.
We wanted to celebrate on the actual day of our anniversary, but it is a weekday this year....so since it is a weekday, we made some dinner reservations and spent some relaxing time at the beach...it is so nice living so close to the water!
We ate dinner at Shadowbrook Restaurant...neither of us have ever eaten there and it has always been a place we wanted to try, so we decided to eat dinner there for our anniversary.
Here are a couple of pictures taken on the way down to the restaurant...

At the Restaurant...it was a very nice view!

My dinner....I had steak and Scampi...the scampi and broccoli was delicious...and the potatoes gratin was pretty good too...I was not really a fan of the steak...it was made in some type of wine sauce and I just didn't like the flavor combo.

Aaron got the Linguine with Scampi and sauteed spinach...he said it was very tasty....Aaron says that on his food scale, he gives it a "mmmmmm....that's nice" LoL!...Oh yea...and the spinach was "bombtastic" LoL...what a goofball!

The restaurant surprised us with 2 chocolate truffles as an anniversary gift....just as Aaron took a bit into his....I was like, "we should take a picture of them!"....I was a little late so I just have a picture of 1 and 1/2 truffles..but you get the idea....we blew out the candle and both made a wish (which I am positive was the same wish without even asking him)...hopefully it comes true!
After dinner, we drove down the street to Capitola State Beach....my goodness..really, I don't know why we don't do this more often...I mean really, there is no other place that calming. I just feel so at ease and relaxed while at the beach....it is amazing...beautiful, serene, calm...this little trip to the beach has made me even more excited for our weekend trip to Huntington Beach!

Look at the killer parking we got!...I have never EVER parked this close before!...we lucked out!

I have always wanted to do this....

Our footprints in the sand...I absolutely LOVE this picture!

Oh, how I love him!
Today was awesome and just a snap shot of the awesome get-away we have coming up!...I am so incredibly happy with life...I am truly blessed...I have an amazing husband..a strong marriage...a supportive and loving family....a job I absolutely love and enjoy....I really couldn't ask for more! =)
