When we first got into Disneyland I got the giddy feeling like I always do and Libby got a little emotional as this was all in celebration of Jennifer's adoption finalization....I mean really, how can you not get super excited and emotional at Disneyland when you are holding a beautiful baby girl?!?!
We did learn a few things on this Disneyland trip...
1. Baby Swap....If you have a baby and you want to go on a ride that the baby cannot go on, you grab a baby swap pass from a ride attendant and one person goes on the ride while the other watches the baby, and when that person gets off the couple does a baby swap and the other rides the attraction...we utilized this the whole trip!...I didn't even know they had this...it was AWESOME! And we even worked it more wonderfully....since there were 4 of us, we would get 2 fast passes for one ride and 2 more fast passes for another ride and then we would grab a baby swap pass for whatever ride we wanted to go on first....Aaron and I would use our fast passes to go through the line quickly while Tony and Libby waited, and then they would use the baby swap pass that took them right to the front of the line when we got off and we would then watch baby Jennifer...it was GREAT!
2. If you want baby Jennifer to lose the hiccups, you take her in the Haunted Mansion....when you are in the stretching room, just before the doors open, it becomes pitch black and then a thunderous noise and screams blare....it scared the hiccups right out of her.
3. If you want Jennifer to fall asleep...you watch the fireworks or put her on Pirates of the Caribbean.
4. During the Fireworks if you look at the Matterhorn, you can see projections of images that match the fireworks song/theme at the time....like when they are playing the Indiana Jones song, there is a projection of the crystal skull on the Matterhorn....Libby pointed this out to us!
5. At the perfect angle, the Mickey and Walt Disney Statue at the end of Main Street provides an inappropriate image....Mickeys nose looks like Walt's willy!
Oh yes, and at the end of the trip, Libby asked what was our favorite ride and favorite moment of the trip and it went as follows...
Aaron-
Favorite Ride: Toy Story Mania
Favorite Moment: Learning more about babies, and watching Jennifer and seeing her laugh all the time
Heather-
Favorite Ride:Toy Story Mania
Favorite Moment: One night when we were in the hotel and Jennifer was just laughing up a storm...I would say something or do something and she would just bust a gut!....and then Aaron played peek-a-boo with pillows and she would just laugh and laugh and laugh....it was hilarious...It was just great being able to watch her and see Disneyland behind the eyes of a child.
Tony-
Favorite Ride: Thunder Mountain Railroad
Favorite Moment: Tiki Room (In the Tiki Room while Jennifer was checking everything out while sitting in Tony's lap, Jennifer held his hand...it was SO cute!)
Libby-
Favorite Ride: Tiki Room
Favorite Moment: Tiki Room and the Electric Parade (which, by the way, was SO freaking cool!! It is about time they brought the Electric Parade back!)
And the next time we go, I am sure we will learn even more and make more awesome memories!...we had a blast...seriously one of the best Disneyland trips ever!...and you know what is crazy...we were thinking about the next time we go...Jennifer will be walking!! Isn't that crazy!?!?!
OK....enough talking....time for some pictures....get ready for Disney Picture Mania!
