The last day we were in Anaheim, I got call from my mom (which I missed) and a text from my dad. The text read, "My truck was hit by a drunk...it's done. Mom's mustang was hit in the rear too" So I called my mom and I got the scoop....
Apparently, at about 4 in the morning, the entire neighborhood heard a HUGE bang...it was so hard that it shook my parents house and they thought it was an earthquake....after the shake, they said they could hear the sound of crunching metal and they went outside and could see the driver driving away in attempt to hit and run. My dad followed the scent of the cars coolant and whatever the car was leaking to where the owner had stopped...which, by the way, was in his driveway, one block from our house! When my dad got there he could hear the man's wife screaming at the top of her lungs at him...when he came out, he was crying and begged my dad not to call the cops...but it was too late...my mom already had and so did 5 neighbors. The cops came and arrested him and he is probably going to be charged with a felony hit and run and DUI charges.
The guy seriously must have been going SO fast to damage my dads truck as much as he did....my dads truck is so heavy and big and I can't even begin to imagine how fast he had to be going to push my dads truck up onto the sidewalk, on top of our bush and put the huge dent in it that he did.
Here are some pictures...
So what is the good news you say? Well...my dad got a new truck!! Hallelujah! No more bucket in the truck to catch the leaks in the rain....a smooth ride (my mom no longer has to hold her boobs when she rides in the truck!) and a truck that seats 5 VERY comfortably!
Here are some pictures....
So yea....Boo for drunk drivers and their stupidity....but YAY for a new truck!
