Anyhow, I suggested to head on up to Monterey to hit up our favorite restaurant on the pier and he loved the idea so that is where we headed first. It was BEAUTIFUL....seriously....great weather...a little chilly and that is just the way I like it so Aaron will cuddle me to keep me warm!=)
So we went to Fisherman's Grotto (YUM!) and ordered an appetizer of Calamari and followed it with the very best clam chowder bread bowl you have ever eaten in your life. We go there JUST for that!
After getting back home from Monterey, we headed out to dinner (Buca Di Beppo) with my parents, Aaron's parents, Kelly and J.C. to celebrate! It was great to have everyone together and the food was AWESOME!! Well, expect for the chicken marsala...If you ever go to Buca, don't order that!! It is NASTY!
After dinner, Aaron opened up his birthday gifts....and he got everything he wanted! He got:
-a coffee maker with a timer
-2 shirts for work
-Arnette Sunglasses
-Money
-Subscription to a DVD burning site
It was a great time, the only thing that stunk was I made him a birthday cake and it was OK (in my opinion), my family like it....but I wasn't impressed and I wish I would have made a cake I had made before so that it would have been perfect...or even the apple pie he loves so much!....But really, that is me just being a perfectionist!
