Now, we expected the trip to be something like 8-8 and 1/2 hours, but it ended up taking us 11 hours because of RIDICULOUS traffic! We first hit traffic just before the grapevine. There were millions of cones and what we thought would be hundreds of workers to take the road from 3 lanes to 1....but alas, there was ONE lone worker....and worker is a generous term. The next bit of traffic we hit was in L.A....you know, that famous L.A. traffic! OMG...I could never live in L.A. The traffic would drive me batty!
And you know what?? Even with all the traffic and all that time in the car, Jennifer was AMAZING!! She really did sleep most of the time, and even when she was awake she didn't have any major meltdowns....Libby was able to keep her entertained making Indian and motorboat noises using Jennifer's mouth for about 45 minutes...Poor Libby...her arm was burning!...but we were all definitely entertained!
Oh and Libby started a new thing with Jennifer that she deemed the bird cage.....when she wanted Jennifer to sleep, she put the blanket up over the car seat and Jennifer would fall asleep...it was super cute!
Even though the ride was 11 hours, we had plenty of things to keep us entertained...First came the boobies...very interesting architecture!
Jennifer also had a special surprise for us all in the crazy L.A. traffic...all windows were down and Aaron was working his hardest to get to an exit! LoL!
And the other thing that kept us entertained, well at least me entertained, was the sky writing!! Someone was writing in the sky!...I had never seen that before!
Shortly after the sky writing, we made it to Tony's mom's house and we had yummy lasagna!..and we hung out with some of Tony's family...
and basically we passed out shortly thereafter.
